Hunger Games
My book babes book club discussed the book Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I enjoyed this book because I connect with Katniss because she is fearless and adventures. The book was about going against the capital and a bit about love. In the book every year 24 kids are sent to fight to the death in a arena and only on will win. The winner wins grain and oil for there entire district.
I entered a contest to win a trip to meet Suzanne Collins. For my entry I had to say what I would do if I was in the hunger games. Here is my entry:
If I was in the Hunger Games, I would run the second I was put on the Cornucopia. I would not run far though, I would just make sure I was hidden from the everyone else but could still see the other tributes fighting for the supplies. Maybe I would climb a tree or camouflage myself.
Once most of the fighters have been killed trying to get the supplies at Cornucopia, and the careers have teemed up I will follow there group. I will remain unseen from them by camouflage and laying low. I will sneak poisons berries into the individual meals of each career one at a time. If a tribute dies from eating then the others will think that someone with in the group did it and they will stop trusting. When they go to kill other tributes they will not help out the other careers if they are in danger. If I keep sneaking in poison berries (or poison berry juice so they can’t pick out the poison) then the careers will begin to eat less which will cause them to not think as well and do stupid and dangerous things.
So when I am down to just a few tributes I will set fire to there supplies and hopefully them to. If they remain they will not last long. I will move on to other tributes.
I will create fake gifts from sponsors. I will make it look like a medicine or something, but it will really contain shards of glass or poison berries.
When there is only 2 tributes and myself left, I will allow them to fight and i will stay hidden. Once there is one left, I will fight them by coming from behind an knocking them out. Then I will kill them by stabbing them.
I forgot to mention how I would eat. All animals get thirsty. I will kill them when they drop by the lake for a drink. I will also steal a little bit from my opponent when I go to poison there food.
